Columbia, Illinois (March 1, 2018) – The victim of a two-vehicle collision in Columbia on Tuesday that left six children with injuries has been identified as 41-year-old Emily M. Webb, authorities said.
The fatal wreck happened at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, on Route 3 at Veterans Memorial Parkway.
According to authorities, Webb was broadsided by a dump truck driven by 86-year-old Donald L. Eccher of Millstadt while driving her family’s SUV.
Webb was reported to be the mother of the six children.
Webb was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
The children were rushed to St. Louis Children’s Hospital for treatment; two of them, a 4-year-old boy and 8-year-old daughter remain hospitalized.
