Mr. Todd Beatty, 52, of Geary, OK, sustained moderate injuries and Mr. Jeffrey Smith, 32, of Hoopeston, IL, sustained serious injuries as a result of an accident that occurred in Marion County. On June 9th at approximately 6:15 pm on US Highway 24 five miles west of Quincy, Mr. Todd’s vehicle was involved in the accident when it travelled off the right side of the roadway and struck a light post, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report. Both parties were wearing their safety devices. Both parties were transported via EMS to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries.
