Timothy Landlois among Five Injured in St. Charles County Chain-Reaction Crash on Interstate 70
Timothy Landlois, Jonathan Smith and Three Others Hurt in Five Vehicle Crash on I-70 in St. Charles County
St. Charles County, Missouri (March 2, 2018) – Several people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle wreck on Thursday morning in St. Charles County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Five vehicles were involved in the collision that took place on Interstate 70 west of Lake St. Louis Boulevard at around 7:52 a.m. on Thursday, March 1.
Vehicles were stopped on northbound I-70 due to a crash ahead when a 2011 Chevrolet Express 2500 driven by Jonathan N. Smith, 32, of Salem, began to slide and struck the rear of a 2011 Ford F-150, driven by Timothy N. Landlois, 30, of Hillsboro, before slamming into the concrete barrier.
The impact pushed the Ford into the back of a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Piyush K. Mishra, 40, of Maryland Heights, which in turn rear-ended a 2012 Honda Civic, being driven by Nidal W. Othman, 46, of Valley Park.
The force of the crash caused the Honda to hit the rear of a 2011 Gillig Bus G27B102N4, driven by Sarah L. Love, 55, of Florissant.
Five patients were taken to SSM Health DePaul Hospital. Smith and Landlois sustained moderate injuries. Love and her two passengers, Rozlyn A. Smith, 25, and Courtney A. Couch, 27, both of St. Louis, were all treated for minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The Malibu, Expedition and the Chevrolet 1500 were totaled.
The Cruze sustained extensive damage while the Silverado was not damaged.
