At 2:30 pm on Monday, May 28, Tara Sherrod, Beth Griffin, Dana Duvall and an unnamed minor were all injured in a traffic accident on Illinois Route 13. The accident began when the unnamed minor, who was travelling at speeds in excess of the posted limit, rear ended a vehicle operated by Ms. Sherrod before striking head-on another vehicle driven by Ms. Griffin. Both the minor and Ms. Sherrod were forced from the road. Dana Duvall, an adult who had been accompanying the minor, was also injured in the incident. All parties were transported to area hospitals for further observation and treatment.
