Shaleea Jennings, Kayla Lyons and Caleigh Wright Hurt in Greene County Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Route ZZ
Greene County, Missouri (February 6, 2018) – Three Republic women were on Sunday night injured in an accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Greene County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, February 4, on Route ZZ, approximately one mile south of Battlefield.
Troopers said Kayla J. Lyons, 18, of Republic, was driving a 2008 Jeep Liberty northbound on Route ZZ when she slid off the roadway, struck an embankment and rolled over, striking a pedestrian.
Lyons and her passenger, Caleigh E. Wright, 18, of Republic, were both taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with minor injuries.
The pedestrian, Shaleea M. Jennings, 26, also of Republic, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
The Jeep sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Henry’s Towing of Brookline.
