Nesha Taylor Injured in St. Louis County Car Crash on I-70

St. Louis County, Missouri (January 3, 2018) – A woman sustained injuries when her vehicle was traveling at low speed due to a flat tire and was rear-ended by another vehicle early Monday morning in St. Louis County.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened at around 12:16 a.m. Monday, January 1 on Interstate 70 at the intersection of Bermuda Road.

Troopers said a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven eastbound on I-70 by Laniqua A. Chaney, 23, of St. Louis, was traveling at a relatively low speed due to a flat tire when it was struck from behind by an eastbound 2013 Dodge Dart, being driven by Demetrius J. Borders, 31, and also of St. Louis.

Nesha Taylor, 9, of St. Louis was a passenger in Chaney’s vehicle and was transported to St. Louis Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.

Both drivers were not hurt.

Troopers said all occupants of both vehicles had their seatbelts on.

The Dodge and the Pontiac sustained total damage and were towed from the scene.
