The Legal Claims

Missouri offers a thorough system of personal injury laws meant to protect persons who are injured through another’s negligence. Here, though the driver might be found at fault for the accident, any compensation sought by the passenger could be reduced based on his own negligent failure to wear a safety device.  The passenger’s compensation will be entitled to payment for any lost wages, damaged property, and any medical bills incurred as a direct result of the accident.
