Matthew Blinzler Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-70 in Lafayette County

Lafayette County, Missouri (March 4, 2018) – One driver was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Lafayette County, according to the state troopers.

The crash happened at about 3:20 p.m. Saturday, March 3, on Interstate 70 eastbound at Mile Marker 31.

An earlier incident on eastbound I-70 had caused vehicles to stop when a 2007 Toyota Camry, driven by Abilene R. Mosher, 17, of Odessa, rear-ended a 2007 Saturn Ion driven by Matthew W. Blinzler, 36, of Independence.

The crash pushed Blinzler’s vehicle into the median, where it rolled over and blocked the eastbound lanes.

The Camry then struck the back of a 2006 Kia, driven by Blane M. Rogers, 34, of Lexington.

Blinzler was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center with minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The Camry and the Saturn Ion were both totally damaged. The Kia sustained minor damage.

All three vehicles were removed from the scene by Wilkinson’s Tow.
