Lynda Swem Injured in Head-On Collision on US-60 in Newton County
Newton County, Missouri (January 12, 2018) – A 56-year-old woman was injured in Newton County when two vehicles collided on Thursday afternoon, according to MSHP.
The crash took place on US 60, about two miles west of Neosho at around 4:45 p.m. Thursday, January 11.
Deanna M. Weston, 40, of Neosho, was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty eastbound on US 60 when she collided with a 2012 Toyota RAV4 driven westbound by Lynda L. Swem, 75, of Seneca.
Swem sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Joplin for treatment.
There were no reports on any other injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, troopers said.
