Leo Steinbrenner, Travis Sturgeon and Amanda Brown Injured in Scott County 2-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 61
Scott County, Missouri (February 28, 2018) – Three people were injured on Tuesday afternoon in an accident involving two vehicles in Scott County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the collision took place shortly before 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, on U.S. Highway 61 at Morley.
34-year-old Leo T. Steinbrenner of Whitewater was heading north on U.S. 61 when he tried to turn left and his 2007 Ford F-150 was struck in the rear by a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, driven by 38-year-old Travis L. Sturgeon of Advance.
Sturgeon, Steinbrenner and his passenger, 35-year-old Amanda L. Brown of Sikeston, were all transported to St. Francis Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Troopers said Steinbrenner and Brown were not wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash.
The Ford sustained minor damage while the Hyundai was totaled.
