Larry Ward, Harvey Moore Hurt in Dump Truck Crash on MO-38 in Texas County
Texas County, Missouri (February 3, 2018) – Two men were injured when their dump truck collided with a pickup truck on Friday afternoon in Texas County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
The incident took place at around 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, on Missouri 38, approximately 6 miles east of Huggins.
Joshua D. Stallcup, 29, of Bucyrus was driving a 1986 Ford F-150 pickup westbound on MO-38 when he crossed the centerline and collided with a 2016 Peterbilt trash truck, driven by Larry K. Ward, 61, of Houston.
The impact caused the trash truck to travel off the right shoulder of the road, then Ward overcorrected and cut back across the road onto the left shoulder, where the truck overturned.
Ward sustained moderate injuries and his passenger, Harvey L. Moore, 24, of Bucyrus, suffered minor. They were both taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital Houston.
Stallcup was not injured.
Troopers said the three were wearing their seatbelts.
