Kevin Edwards Hit and Killed by Semi-Trailer at Gas Station on North Oakwood Rd in Oakwood
Oakwood, Illinois (January 10, 2018) – A 47-year-old man was hit and killed by a semi-trailer on Tuesday evening in Oakwood, according to police.
The incident took place at around 6:45 p.m. at the Phillips 66 gas station at 502 north Oakwood Road.
Police said Kevin Edwards, 47, was knocked down and ran over by a semi-trailer as he was walking through the gas station parking lot.
The emergency crews were alerted to the scene but couldn’t rescue Edwards, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
There were no details on whether charges were filed.
The crash is still under investigation.
