Kay Woodraw Injured in St. Charles County Car Crash on I-70

St. Charles County, Missouri (January 2, 2018) – A St. Louis woman suffered injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 70 in St. Charles County Monday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at around 1:45 p.m. Monday, January 1, on I-70, east of Mid Rivers Mall Drive.

Troopers said Lisa M. Allen, 32, of O’Fallon, was driving a 2006 Saturn ION in one of the westbound lanes of I-70 when she attempted to change lanes and the back of her vehicle struck the front of a westbound 2010 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Kay D. Woodraw, 59, of St. Louis.

The crash caused Woodraw’s vehicle to veer off the left side of the roadway and crashed into the concrete median.

Woodraw was transported to SSM Health St. Josephs St. Charles with moderate injuries.

No one else was hurt.

Woodraw’s vehicle was heavily damaged and was towed from the scene.
