Jason Goff, Genove Avalos Hurt in Barry County Rear-End Collision on Highway 37
Barry County, Missouri (January 31, 2018) – A two-vehicle collision sent the drivers to a hospital early Tuesday morning in Barry County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The rear-end crash occurred at around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, on Highway 37 in Butterfield.
Genove D. Avalos, 27, of Springfield had just been involved in an accident, and her 2008 Toyota Corolla was sitting facing eastbound on southbound Highway 37 when it was struck on its back by a southbound 1985 GMC Safari van.
Avalos and the driver of the van, Jason D. Goff, 45, of Monett, were both taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries.
The drivers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and had to be towed from the scene.
