Female Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Golf Road in Niles
Niles, Illinois (January 11, 2018) – A pedestrian collision in Niles Wednesday night claimed a life of a woman, police said.
The deadly crash happened at around 7:22 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, in the 8300-block of Golf Road in Niles.
According to a report, a woman in her early 60s was crossing the street in the 8300 block of Golf Road when she was struck by a Kia Sorento headed east on the inner lane.
Police said the responding officers performed CPR on the pedestrian before she was taken to Lutheran General Hospital for treatment where she was declared deceased at around 8:04 p.m.
Golf Road was reportedly shut down between Washington Street and Milwaukee Avenue during an investigation, police said.
