Derek Smith, Jerri Mistler Injured in Gasconade County Crash on U.S. 50
Gasconade County, Missouri (January 27, 2018) – Two drivers were injured after one of them crossed the center line causing a head-on crash early Friday morning in Gasconade County, MSHP reported.
The incident happened at about 4:15 a.m. on U.S. Highway 50 just east of Fowler Road.
Troopers said a 2007 Toyota Camry heading westbound on U.S. 50 swerved into the eastbound side and collided with a 1998 Ford Escort.
Jerri P. Mistler, 34, of Eldon was the driver of the Ford and was transported to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City. His injuries were considered moderate.
The Toyota was being driven by Derek L. Smith, 20, of Willow Springs and was also taken to SSM St. Mary’s. He was treated for minor injuries.
Both vehicles were totally damaged in the crash.
