St. Charles County, Missouri (January 14, 2018) – Two Illinois residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in St. Charles County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision took place at around 1:10 a.m. on Highway 67 on the Lewis Bridge.

According to troopers a 1995 Ford Taurus was disabled and blocking both lanes of Highway 67 when the driver of a southbound 2001 Ford Ranger, failed to notice the disabled vehicle and rammed into its side. The impact pushed both vehicles off the right shoulder of the highway and the Ford Taurus slammed into the bridge.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, Dana Polchowski, 31, of Grafton, Ill., sustained minor injuries. His passenger, Emily P. Rowling, 27, also of Grafton, sustained moderate injuries. They were both transported to SSM Health Depaul Hospital.

The driver of the Ford Taurus, Shannon L. Musgraves, 40, of Blackjack, was unhurt.

The crash extensively damaged both vehicles, which had to be towed from the scene.
