Linn County, Missouri (February 06, 2018) – According to a local news source, a 19-year-old motorist was seriously injured in a vehicular collision in Linn County on Thursday afternoon.

The accident occurred at about 3:52 p.m. February 03, on US 36, west of Brookfield.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2007 Peterbilt truck driven by Mathew R. Witt, 30, of Collinsville, rear-ended a 2006 Ford F150, which had slowed down due to traffic.

Cole Shade, who was driving the Ford, was seriously injured and was transported to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield before being flown to University Hospital in Colombia.

The condition of the truck driver was not disclosed.

The accident remains under investigation.
