Anna Smith Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 30 in Jefferson County
Jefferson County, Missouri (February 1, 2018) – One person was injured in a Wednesday evening multi-vehicle accident on Highway 30 in Jefferson County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Three cars were involved in the crash that occurred on eastbound Highway 30 west of Valley Dell Drive at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, January 31.
A 2008 Mazda 3 was traveling eastbound on Highway 30 lane two when the driver, Steven D. Black, 24, of St. Louis, stopped for a traffic light at the intersection.
Brenda M. Trostel, 56, of Imperial was driving a 2013 Nissan Munaro behind Black and failed to stop in time. As she drifted leftwards to avoid a crash, she collided with the rear of the Mazda, then traveled into lane three and struck a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Patricia F. Farr, 53, of St. Louis.
Anna N. Smith, 22, of High Ridge, was a passenger in the Mazda. She was taken to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital with minor injuries.
No one else was hurt in the accident.
