Abdullahi Osman, Anita Piatt Injured in Crash with Tractor-Trailer on Mo-37 in Barry County
Barry County, Missouri (February 12, 2018) – Two people were hospitalized after a collision involving a car and a tractor-trailer on Saturday morning in Barry County, according to a MSHP report.
The accident happened at around 11:53 a.m. Saturday, February 10, at the intersection of Missouri 37 and Missouri 76, just west of Cassville.
Troopers said the driver of a 2007 Peterbilt tractor-trailer failed to stop at the intersection and crashed into a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, Abdullahi D. Osman, 36, of Irving, Texas, sustained moderate injuries. A passenger in the car, Anita S. Piatt, 57, of Cassville, suffered minor injuries. They were both transported by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
The driver of the car, Charles Piatt, 58, of Cassville was not injured.
The car was totally damaged in the accident.
