On April 15th at approximately 10 am, Connie Danielson, 56, of Drury, MO, and Edward Moore, 52, of Lexington, KY, were injured following an accident that occurred on Highway 96. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ms. Danielson’s 2014 Ram Pickup Truck became involved in the accident when it traveled off of the left side of the highway while headed southbound and struck a tree. It is unknown if Ms. Danielson was wearing a safety device, but Mr. Moore, who was a passenger, was apparently unrestrained. Both the driver and passenger sustained serious injuries, and were taken via ambulance to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries.

A traffic accident can be a difficult and even harrowing experience. We at the law offices of Kevin J. Roach wish all parties a quick and thorough recovery.

The Legal Claims

Missouri offers a comprehensive system of personal injury laws meant to protect parties who are injured through the negligence of another person. Here, both parties might be held liable for the injuries of the passenger depending on who is determined to be at fault. The passenger will be entitled to payment for lost wages, pain and suffering, damaged property, and any medical bills incurred as a result of the accident that are not a result of his own negligence.
