Larry Gatlin injured in Lawrence County wreck

On June 21th at approximately 10:50 am, Larry Gatlin, 70, Kaiser, MO, was injured following an accident that occurred on eastbound I-44 five miles west of Mount Vernon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by Kelly Ferguson, 35, of Athens, TX, struck the rear of Mr. Gatlin’s vehicle. This caused Mr. Gatlin to strike the rear of a vehicle driven by Jess Whitehead, 27, of Webb City, MO. His vehicle then struck the rear of another vehicle. Only Mr. Gatlin sustained injuries following the accident and the injuries she received were moderate. Mr. Gatlin was transported via ambulance to a nearby medical center to be treated.
