Paxton, Illinois (January 4, 2018) – A crash involving a semi-trailer killed two people Thursday morning on Illinois 9 near Paxton, according to Illinois State Police.
The accident took place at Ford County Road 1300 East around 10:09 a.m.
Police said the driver of a car traveling east on Illinois 9 lost control, veered into the path of oncoming traffic and collided with a semi-trailer.
The car driver and a passenger in the car were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Details on their identities were not available.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation by the Illinois State Police Department.
