Chicago, Illinois (March 1, 2018) — One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon on the Eisenhower Expressway near Berkeley near west suburban Berkeley in Elmhurst, according to a news release from Illinois State Police.
The fatal wreck took place at around 2 p.m. near St. Charles Road.
According to the ISP, at least three semis and four cars were involved in the crash.
Police said the cab of one semi, and at least two passenger cars caught fire.
At least one person was killed and an unknown number injured in the incident.
The inbound lanes of the Eisenhower Expressway were shut down as a result of the wreck, police said.
