Elayna Niermeyer Injured in 2-Vehicle Accident on U.S. 61 in Pike County
Pike County, Missouri (January 8, 2018) – A 19-year-old woman was on Sunday morning hospitalized after a car collision on U.S. 61 in Pike County.
According to MSHP, the incident took place in the northbound lanes of U.S. 61 north of Route OO at around 9:25 a.m. on Sunday, January 7.
Elayna G. Niermeyer, 19, of Union was driving a 2006 Dodge Stratus northbound on U.S. 61 when the slick road conditions caused her to lose control and the driver’s side of her vehicle collided with the back of a 2003 Honda Civic that was parked at the side of the road.
Niermeyer was transported to SSM St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis with minor injuries.
No one was inside the parked vehicle at the time of the crash.
