Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, plus new hires, recent case updates, and other news from Roach Law.

Hi first name,

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. It's a timely reminder to stay alert and share the road responsibly. As more riders take to the streets, we all play a role in preventing accidents. This month, we’re highlighting simple ways to stay safe and protect motorcyclists in our community.

In addition to all drivers taking steps to keep motorcyclists safe, riders also play a critical role in staying safe on the road. By wearing proper protective gear, staying visible, and practicing defensive riding, motorcyclists can reduce risks and better protect themselves each time they ride.

These are a few ways all drivers and riders alike can keep everyone safer on the roads.

Drivers: Check twice for motorcycles before turning.

Because of their small size, motorcycles can be missed or hidden in blind spots. Check again before making turns or lane changes.

Drivers: Be mindful of distance and speed.

It can be difficult to judge a motorcycle's distance or speed. They are closer than they may appear. Be mindful of this when checking traffic.

Drivers: Maintain a safe following distance.

Motorcyclists may slow down by downshifting, which does not activate brake lights. Allow additional following distance to keep both parties safe.

Riders: Make yourself more visible.

There are many ways to make yourself more visible to motorists. Wear bright clothing, have your headlight on, flash your brake when slowing, and avoid riding in blind spots.

Riders: Wear proper gear for every ride.

The best protection comes from abrasion-resistant jackets, pants, gloves and riding boots. Wear a DOT-approved helmet. Full-face helmets provide the best protection.

Riders: Check before you ride.

Perform a pre-ride check of your tires, wheels, fluids, cables, chassis, lights, and electronics. Make this a habit. Ensure all parts are free from damage and in working order.

"I had a great experience working with Roach Law after my recent car accident. The entire situation was overwhelming, especially while dealing with pain from my injuries, but their team made the process so much easier.

After researching several law firms, Roach Law stood out. Kevin took the time to meet with me in person, which immediately made me feel more comfortable - something other firms weren’t willing to do. That personal touch meant a lot during such a stressful time.

They also helped ensure I received the care I needed for my injuries, and their team was consistently responsive, supportive, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process.

While I hope no one has to go through a car accident, I would highly recommend Roach Law to anyone who does."
