Ryan Dowden Injured after Vehicle Slides on Icy U.S. 60, Causes Crash in Mississippi County

Mississippi County, Missouri (January 14, 2018) – A driver suffered injuries on Saturday morning when his vehicle slid on the icy roadway and crashed into oncoming traffic in Mississippi County.

According to the MSHP, the collision took place at around 8:15 a.m. Saturday, January 8, on Highway 60, about five miles east of Wyatt.

Troopers said 27-year-old Ryan I. Dowden of Clarksville, Tn., was driving a 2015 Chrysler 300 eastbound on Highway 60 when he slid and collided with a westbound 2012 International Conventional driven by 33-year-old Joshua R. Swan of Zeigler, Ill.

Dowden was transported by Air Evac Medical to St. Francis Medical Center Cape Girardeau with moderate injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
