Montez Horton Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-55 in St. Louis

St. Louis, Missouri (January 10, 2018) – A man died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Tuesday morning in St. Louis, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 9 on Interstate 55 near 7th Street.

Troopers said the victim, Montez J. Horton, 25, of St. Louis, was crossing I-55 when he was struck by a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse, whose driver failed to stop after the accident.

Police later identified the driver as a man from St. Charles but did not release his name.

No details were provided on whether charges were pending.
