Metcalf Trinity, Natasha Broshuis in Jefferson County Two-Car Crash on Highway 30 at Route PP
Jefferson County, Missouri (January 3, 2018) – Four people were hospitalized after Monday night car crash on Highway 30 in Jefferson County.
MSHP said the crash took place on Highway 30 at the intersection of Route PP around 9:15 p.m. on Monday, January 1.
The driver of a 2009 Nissan Sentra traveling eastbound on Highway 30 failed to stop for a steady red light at Route PP, and turned left into the path of a 2004 Toyota Matrix traveling westbound on Highway 30.
Police said the two vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of the Nissan, Natasha R. Broshuis, 25, of High Ridge, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries. A passenger in her vehicle, Trinity Metcalf, 16, of Byrnes Mill, was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious injuries. They were both transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center.
Another passenger in Broshuis’ car, Stephen M. Arthur, 39, of Fredericktown, was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, Danielle E. Carver, 32, of House Springs, was hospitalized at St. Anthony’s Medical Center with moderate injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt, MSHP said.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene with total damage.
