Jasmine Dorsey, Heath and Norma Edgar, all injured in St. Louis county crash

On Wednesday, September 19, Jasmine Dorsey and Heath and Norma Edgar were all injured in a multi-car accident on I-170 south of the I-70 intersection in St. Louis County.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:15 PM when an unknown driver apparently struck Mr. Edgar’s car while travelling next to one another on the highway. Mr. Edgar then lost control of his vehicle and collided with the vehicle Ms. Dorsey was travelling in, driven by Mr. Mauro Shanchez.

According to the official crash report Ms. Dorsey, who was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the incident, suffered serious life threatening injury and had to be rushed to Barnes Jewish Hospital via the Christian Hospital EMS. Heath and Norma Edgar also suffered moderate injury and they were also transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital as a precautionary measure.

Both vehicles suffered extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Fleeing the scene of an accident is a serious criminal offense and investigators are still searching for the unknown driver who started the incident.
