On Monday, June 11, Drake A. Hill, 17, of Sullivan, and Bode M. Janish, were both injured in a single-car accident on Elmont Road in Franklin County. The accident began at approximately 11 pm when Mr. Hill, who was driving, lost control of the vehicle the boys were riding in as they attempted to navigate a curve. The car passed over the center line, and travelled off the far side of the road. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, both boys suffered serious injuries and both had to be rushed to area hospitals for further treatment. Both were also wearing their safety belts at the time of the incident.
