Damon Stephens Injured in 2-Vehicle Wreck on I-70 in Montgomery County

Montgomery County, Missouri (January 19, 2018) – A 46-year-old O’Fallon man was hospitalized on Thursday morning after a two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 70 in Montgomery County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Damon W. Stephens was injured in the accident that took place at around 5:24 a.m. Thursday, January 18, on I-70 at Mile Marker 175.

Stephens was the driver of a 2016 Hyundai Santé Fe that was traveling westbound on I-70 when the driver of a 2001 Cadillac Deville tried to merge onto the interstate from the median and was struck by the Hyundai.

Both vehicles came to a rest in the right lane of Interstate 70.

Stephens was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to University by Health Montgomery County Ems. His injuries were said to be moderate.

The driver of the Cadillac was unhurt.
