On Saturday, September 29, 42-year old Scott Mahlin and 53-year old Crecenio Rivera-Sanchez were both injured in a multi-car accident on Route WW, just west of El Chaparral in Boone County.
The accident occurred at approximately 7:25 AM when Mr. Rivera-Sanchez‘s vehicle crossed over the center line and struck Mr. Mahlin head on.
According to the official crash report Mr. Mahlin suffered moderate injury and had to be transported to the Boone County Hospital for further observation and treatment. Mr. Rivera-Sanchez also suffered moderate injury and had to be taken to University Hospital via EMS. Both drivers were wearing their safety belts at the time of the incident.
Both vehicles suffered severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.
