Alonzo Mack Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-70 in St. Louis County
St. Louis County, Missouri (February 10, 2018) – A Florissant man was hurt when his car was involved in collision with another vehicle on Friday morning in St. Louis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred at 8:51 a.m. Friday, February 9, on Interstate 70 east of Cass Avenue.
A 2002 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound in the right travel lane when it drifted off the right shoulder of the roadway and slammed into an impact attenuator. The Ford then traveled into the eastbound exit lane and into the path of a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and was rear-ended.
Alonzo O. Mack, 43, of Florissant was the driver of the Hyundai and was taken to SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver of the Ford, David J. Jendras, 34, of St. Louis was not injured.
The two reportedly had their safety belts on.
