Ronnetta Head killed, Skyler Head and Isaiha Gibson injured, in Howard County crash.

Ms. Ronnetta Head, 51, of Higbee, MO, was killed in a single car traffic accident on Tuesday, May 15. Skyler Head, 22, and Isaiha Gibson, 17, both also of Higbee, were injured in the accident as well. The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 pm, and began when Mr. Head, the driver, lost control of the vehicle the three were travelling in. The vehicle traveled off of the left side of the highway and flipped on it’s side. Ms. Head was pronounced dead on the scene, and had not been wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident. Mr. Head and Mr. Gibson were also evaluated on the scene and then transported to area hospitals for further observation and treatment.

A traffic accident can be a perplexing and even painful experience. Traffic accidents that end in a fatality are particularly traumatic. We at the law offices of Kevin J. Roach wish all parties a quick and thorough recovery, and extend our condolences to the family of Ms. Head.

The Legal Claims

Missouri offers a widespread system of personal injury laws meant to protect parties who are injured through another person’s negligent actions. Here, though the accident may have been caused by one party, the recovery for that action could be lessened by the other party’s own negligence. The claimant will be entitled to payment for lost wages, pain and suffering, any damaged property, and any medical bills incurred as a result of the accident that are not a result of her own negligence.
