Robert A. Todoran killed in accident on I-70 involving multiple tractor-trailers

On June 20th at approximately 2:20 pm, Robert A. Todoran, 42, of Hammond, Louisiana, was killed in a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on I-70 near mile marker 64. The accident began when Mr. Todoran was forced to stop suddenly due to road work.

Mr. Todoran was unable to brake in time, and the tractor-trailer he was operating struck the rear end of the car in front him. This collision caused a chain reaction that ultimately involved 5 other vehicles, including 4 additional tractor-trailers.

Mr. Todoran was forced from the road, his vehicle flipped, and he became trapped inside. The tractor-trailer caught fire, and Mr. Todoran was killed before rescuers could arrive. Other victims of the incident include, Carlos Perez, Benjamin B. Booker, Peter O. Lingenfelter, Kenneth C. Woodhouse, and Jon and Rachel Wingo. Information about their respective conditions was not available at the time of publication.
