Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-35 Southbound near 119th Street in Olathe in Kansas

Olathe, Missouri (January 12, 2018) – One person was killed and another injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Olathe in Kansas Thursday evening, according to Johnson County MED-ACT.

The deadly crash happened at around 7:10 p.m. Thursday, January 11, along I-35 in Olathe.

According to authorities report, the fatal crash resulted from two separate accidents in which the first crash involved two vehicles.

One of the vehicles fled the scene and another car that was disabled in the southbound lanes remained at the scene.

A woman got out of the disabled car when she was struck and killed by a third vehicle and another person suffered injuries in the crash but was in stable condition, officials said.

A report said the two occupants of the first car who fled the scene were later detained.
