Bates County, Missouri (February 24, 2018) – Two drivers were injured when a car collided with a semi-truck on Friday morning in Bates County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at around 11:20 a.m. Friday 23, on Interstate 49 at Mile Marker 138.2.

A 2000 Ford Ranger, driven by Wlliam H. Dunlap, 80, of Amoret, was traveling southbound on I-49 when it was rear-ended by a 2012 Peterbilt driven by Jedariah D. Stipp, 39, of Joplin.

Dunlap suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Bates County Memorial.

Stipp sustained minor injuries but refused medication at the scene.

The Ford was towed from the scene with extensive damage.
