Wendy Drake Seriously Injured in 2-Vehicle Accident on U.S. 60 in New Madrid County

New Madrid County, Missouri (December 16, 2017) – A collision involving two vehicles on U.S. 60 in New Madrid County left a 56-year-old woman hospitalized on Thursday evening.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at around 5:40 p.m. Thursday, December 14, at the intersection of U.S. 60 and Route FF, just West of Sikeston.

Troopers said the collision happened when Wendy Drake, 56, of Sikeston, drove an SUV into the path of a pickup truck, driven by Benjamin Martin, 19, also of Sikeston.

Drake suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Cape Girardeau hospital.

Martin was not injured in the crash.

There was no further information on the accident.
