Troy Puffinbarger ID’d as Man Killed in Head-On Collision on I-280 in Moline
Moline, Illinois (February 10, 2018) – The man who was killed in a head-on collision in Moline on Wednesday morning has been identified.
The accident occurred at about 7:36 a.m. February 7, on Interstate 280 north of the Quad City Airport.
Illinois state police reported that a white Ford box truck was traveling westbound on I-280 when it drifted across the median and collided head-on with a white 2004 Dodge pickup truck operated by Troy R. Puffinbarger, of Dixon, Iowa
Puffinbarger was killed in the collision.
Three other people sustained serious injuries and were transported to Unity Point Trinity West for treatment.
No other information was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
