Union Man Troy Manasco Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 50
Union, Missouri (January 25, 2018) – A 37-year-old man was killed in a crash between two cars on Wednesday night in Union, according to Union Police Department.
The crash took place at around 7:48 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, on Highway 50, just east of Progress Parkway.
Police said Troy W. Manasco, 37, of Union, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt westbound on the highway when he swerved into the path of oncoming traffic and collided with a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Clairine A. Zeagel, 27, of St. Louis.
Manasco was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Zeagel and her passenger, Wayne R. H. Shoults, 30, of Union, were both transported to Mercy Hospital Washington, and later transferred to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with unspecified injuries.
The caused a closure of Highway 50 for about 5 hours as the investigators examined the scene.
