Cape Girardeau Woman Tristin Ligons Injured in Crash on US-61 in Scott County
Scott County, Missouri (December 20, 2017) – A 21-year-old woman was injured Tuesday night following a two-vehicle crash in Scott County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at about 10:00 p.m. on the US-61 at Route PP.
According to the report, a 20004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Darrel W. Backfisch, 38, of Benton, MO, and a 2005 Ford Ranger, driven by 21-year-old Tristin L. Logins, of Cape Girardeau, were involved in the crash.
The crash occurred when the Jeep pulled into the path of Ligons’ Ford Ranger, causing the Ranger to hit the driver’s side of the Jeep.
Ligons sustained moderate injuries in the crash and was transported by a private vehicle to Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage in the crash.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided.
