Driver and Passenger Injured in Harrison County Crash on Highway 13 near Bethany
Travis Goodman, 39, Koby Whitmire, 54, Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 13 near Bethany In Harrison County
Bethany, Missouri (January 16, 2018) – A head-on Collision Monday morning south of Bethany in Harrison County sent a 39-year-old and a 54-year-old to a hospital, according to a highway patrol.
The accident took place on Monday, January 15, on Highway 13 about two miles south of Bethany in Harrison County.
The Highway Patrol reported that Jeffrey Prince, 38, of Gallatin was traveling north on Missouri 13 when his sports utility vehicle started sliding on the snow-covered road then crossed the centerline hitting a southbound car driven by 54-year-old Koby Whitmire of Bethany head-on.
After the impact, Prince’s SUV went off the west side of the road and ended up on its wheels facing northeast while Whitmire’s car came to a rest on its wheels facing west and blocking both lanes of traffic, the patrol said.
Officials said both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
Travis Goodman, 39, of Winston who was a passenger in Prince’s car suffered moderate injuries and was transported by an ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.
Whitmire sustained minor injuries in the collision and was also taken by ambulance to the Harrison County Community Hospital.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, the patrol said.
