Cass County, Missouri (January 11, 2018) – A 16-year-old man was injured on Wednesday morning in a chain-reaction accident in Cass County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash took place at around 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, on Route J, just south of 198th Street.

Troopers reported that a 2003 Honda CRV, driven southbound on Route J by 16-year-old Elijah R. Macchi, attempted to make a stop so as not strike a 2000 Honda CRV driven in front by 16-year-old Whitney E. Boll and who was slowing down due to traffic.

A 1997 Honda Accord was being driven behind Macchi by 16-year-old Logan Matt, who was not able to slow down in time. Matt rear-ended Macchi’s vehicle and pushed it into the back of Boll’s car.

All occupants of the three vehicles were Raymore residents and were all wearing their seatbelts.

A passenger in Macchi’s vehicle, 16-year-old Traquann M. Shockley, was transported to Belton Regional with minor injuries.
