Tommy Bottoms injured in Barry County crash

On Monday, May 14, Tommy Bottoms, 54, of Seligman, MO, was injured in a multi-car accident on Highway 37 in the Washburn area. The accident began when Jackie R. Cargile, 70, of Washburn, pulled into Mr. Bottoms lane of travel and failed to yield or judge the distance between the two cars accurately. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Mr. Bottoms suffered moderate injuries and had to be taken to the hospital from the scene of the wreck. Mr. Bottoms was wearing his safety belt at the time of the incident, and Mr. Cargile was able to drive himself from the scene and needed no further medical treatment.
