The Legal Claims

Missouri offers a thorough and comprehensive system of personal injury law meant to protect persons who are injured through other people’s negligent acts. Here, though the driver might be found responsible for the accident, any compensation sought by the passengers could be lessened based on their own negligence–i.e., their failure to buckle up.  The passengers, if they choose to seek compensation, will be entitled to payment for any lost wages, damaged property, and any medical bills incurred as a direct result of the accident.
