Tashann East Injured in Jackson County Rear-End Crash on Interstate 470
Jackson County, Missouri (February 2, 2018) – A Lee’s Summit woman was injured in a Thursday evening car collision on Interstate 470 in Jackson County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on I-470 eastbound exit ramp at U.S. 50 eastbound around 6:11 p.m. on Thursday, February 1.
Troopers said vehicles were slowing down on Interstate 470 due to traffic when an eastbound 1993 Chevrolet 1500, driven by Travis N. Thornbrugh, 41, of Lawrence, Ks., crashed into the back of a 2008 Dodge Dakota, driven by Tashann M. East, 46, of Lee’s Summit.
East was treated for minor injuries at St. Luke’s East Hospital.
Thornbrugh was not injured.
Both drivers had their seatbelts on at the time of the crash, troopers said.
