Ripley County, Missouri (January 31, 2018) – Three people were injured in a crash between two vehicles on Tuesday afternoon in Ripley County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, on U.S. Highway 160 at Route C.

Troopers said Bradley Gibson, 29, of Thayer, was driving a 1996 Dodge Ram when he traveled off the roadway, struck a stop sign and collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic, being driven by Jimmy O. Wilkerson, 52, of Doniphan.

The impact pushed the Dodge off the shoulder of the roadway where it overturned against a tree. The Chevrolet ran off the right shoulder of the road and struck utility poles.

Gibson, Wilkerson and his passenger, Sylvia A. Wilkerson, 77, of Doniphan, were all transported to Southeast Hospital with minor injuries.

The Dodge was totally damaged and was left on the scene. The Chevrolet was towed from the scene with extensive damage.
