On June 10th at approximately 1:50 pm, Suzanne Atchley, 25, of Lubbock, TX, was injured following an accident that occurred on MO RT U six miles northeast of Cabool. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ms. Atchley was involved in the accident when a vehicle driven by Everett Meritt, 46, of Willow Springs, MO, attempted to avoid a vehicle stopped in the roadway and struck Ms. Atchley, who was standing in the ditch. Mr. Meritt did not seem to sustain any injuries while Ms. Atchley sustained serious injuries. She was taken via Air Ambulance to a nearby hospital to be treated for her injuries.
