Susan L. Price, 63, of Windsor, Missouri, killed in Johnson County accident

On Friday, June 29th at approximately 4:00 am, Susan L. Price, 63, of Windsor, Missouri, was killed in a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on US-50 near 1751 Road. The accident began when a vehicle operated by Corbin T. Garry, 22, and Manuel Huerta, 20, both of Warrensburg, attempted to overtake Ms. Price but struck her from behind instead.

Mr. Garry was unable to brake in time, and the vehicle he was operating struck the rear end of Ms. Price’s car in front him. This collision caused a chain reaction that ultimately sent both vehicles off-road before each struck a nearby stand of trees.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, both young men suffered minor injuries while Ms. Price was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Garry was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the incident.

It is always unfortunate when a traffic accident ends in the loss of a life. We at the law offices of Kevin J. Roach extend our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the parties involved.

As a Missouri wrongful death law firm we understand that a family member who has lost a loved one will be experiencing many emotions.  When you contact our firm we will guide you through every step of the legal process and fight for the legal rights of your loved ones.

Our law firm understands that no amount of monetary compensation will bring back your loved one, but we also strongly believe that people must be held accountable for their actions.  Additionally, the money recovered from a Illinois wrongful death lawsuit can assist with any outstanding medical expenses, funeral costs, as well as income replacement if the deceased was the primary income earner.

There are also statutes of limitations within each state that determine how much time you have to file the wrongful death claim. In Missouri, a wrongful death claim can be filed anytime up to three years after the death of the family member.

We can’t bring back your love one but we can help protect your rights and ensure the best possible outcome.  Call today for a free consultation (866) 519-0085
